Comment by Kella on March 15, 2012 at 9:09am Hello LA Zinesters! The American Library Association conference is in Anaheim this June, and there's gonna be some sweet, sweet zine action: http://wemakezines.ning.com/events/zines-at-the-american-library-as... If you're interested in tabling or reading, please get in touch!
Comment by hank shane on March 13, 2012 at 3:35am What's current with the zine world? The LA Zine fest's wake has settled- it was an awesome experience... so what's next? Is there another event scheduled besides www.diyprint.org ? If not, let's make one. Something casual perhaps. Some low key trade party or something...
Comment by Bonks on March 9, 2012 at 8:22am Hi Indigo! The group that put together the Etsy Craft Night at the Craft and Folk Art museum was the same one who put together the L.A. Zine Fest.
You might want to try hitting up Zineworks or Girl Zines A-Go-Go out of San Diego. They're both really great groups who love sharing zines!
Comment by Jen on February 6, 2012 at 12:29pm hey everyone - I've got a new zine out. If you're going to be at the LA Zine Fest on the 19th, you can buy/trade for it there. Otherwise, talk to me about trades or buying! More info is on my wmz page or http://jenvenegas.com/zine
Comment by Indigo on February 4, 2012 at 2:37pm Hello! I'm an MSW student at UCLA and I'm planning a zine workshop with our school's feminist caucus...
Does anyone know of any groups that would like to co-facilitate with me? I'm hoping to find one or two members from a group to help run it and also (hopefully!) provide some supplies... thought it would be a good way to connect some peeps with zine peeps in the community!
[I remember there was a group that ran the Etsy Craft Night zine shop back in Fall 2011, but not sure what the group was called... if anyone knows their name that would be helpful too!]
Thanks!

Comment by Arsenic Alyss on September 14, 2011 at 12:22am Call for submissions for stitches: a critical dialogue with queer/dyke culture
Cis white able-bodied lesbians do not own the word dyke, nor do they own queer women's culture. This zine is about moving beyond transphobic pseudo-radical feminist discourse. Let's re-envision what a radical, inclusive queer dyke culture could look like and feel like. Open to submissions from people of all gender identities. We will strive to center the voices of those who have been particularly oppressed by current lesbian and queer women's culture, including women of color, trans women, non-binary people and people with disabilities.
Deadline: Nov 6, 2011.
