Below is the answer I gave to the question on the WMZ group Political Zinesters. (This groups was apparently deleted shortly after I joined. I hope it wasn't because I was "creepy".)

Yes, I write a political zine, of sorts. It's called Rambles to T(L)C, and it's for an APA (Amateur Press Association), and as such, is called an "apa-zine". Here's a link to Google's APA forum that might fill you in about what APA's are all about. (I hope it works. I don't know why it's so long. It's what came up with I copied and pasted.)

Googling "Amateur Press Association" will get you to the Wikipedia article on it.

My zines are from an "animal-rights libertarian" perspective, and also explore "life issues" from a libertarian perspective----war, the death penalty, abortion, euthanasia.
They also have touched upon the rights and responsibilities of children and mentally ill, challenged or disabled adults (with alzhiemers, schizophrenia, mongolism, etc.).

I published LIVE AND LET LIVE from 1992 to 2003.

That was supplanted by IN CONSEQUENCE OF THESE FACTS, with a similar, but slightly different focus. I've only done 4 issues of that, and they were widely spaced. I hope to do another soon, but as always, such hopes are easier expressed that done.

At this time, my main "political zine" is Rambles to T(L)C [The Libertarian Connection], but that also has other miscellaneous that reflects the interests of the other APA members. [APA's involve a lot of discussion with others].

Rambles to T(L)C is available for a SASE, Trade, or The Usual, and is usually about 8 to 12 standard pages. James N. Dawson, P.O. Box 292, Malden, WA 99149.

I'd like to see more people join The (Libertarian) Connection. I hope to have a "sales pitch" for that on this sub-forum, and maybe the WMZ main forum, soon.

So glad I'm not alone here! I am especially interested since you are a left-libertarian...recently I had a friend (who was just learning about libertarianism) make a comment about a website where people called themselves left-libertarians, and he didn't think it was possible. I had to tell him how much extreme libertarians/voluntaryists have in common with the left. Can't wait to read your stuff! In my last zine there is not that much on the libertarianism, but there is some ;-)

Hi Samantha,

I guess you discovered I was a libertarian from my forum, and must of seen what an "unorthodox" libertarian I am too.

Anyway, I dropped some zines in the mail box this morning, so rather than write much right here, I'll let you just read those, and comment on them if you feel like.

Chris Lempa is a left-libertarian but despite my frequently bugging him, he hasn't sent me any zines in a while.

Have you heard of Erwin "Filthy Pierre" Strauss's The Connection. It's "vaguely" libertarian. It'd be nice to get more libertarian zinesters/papernetters involved in that. It's in a rather sorry state.

Talk to you later.
James
