I realised there wasn't a group on WMZ specific to zine trades so I wanted to get something in place so that people can pool together their interest in trading.

Thanks for making this the biggest group on We Make Zines!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone seems to post a new thread in the forum when they want to share their zines but why not just come to one group where you know people are going to be receptive when you want to share with them!

TO GET STARTED, ADD A COMMENT INCLUDING A ONE-LINER ABOUT YOUR ZINE FOR TRADE AND A ONE-LINER ABOUT WHAT YOU'RE AFTER IN THE TRADE (IF YOU'RE FEELING SPECIFIC)....

My first ever 24 hour zine is ready for you!

It is called Open Book, and it's a half size perzine .

It includes 38 things about me (and a shout out to Eunice for the idea), the story of why I live in Lawrence, KS, writing about my body image issues, and a piece about my recent run in with 81 chiggers and a tick. There's more, but I'll let some things be a surprise.

If anyone wants a copy, let's trade your lovely zine for my lovely zine.

You can write to me at

I make a litzine called 398. Issue#10 has 11 short stories with a fairy tale feel and issue #10.5 tells a bit about the stories behind the stories. I'd love to trade with others who make litzines, but I like perzines too.

Issue #11 of my perzine Feels Like Friday is done & I would love to trade!

This issue, my favourite so far, is about growing up and being angry for a reason. It features a long stream-of-consciousness piece about everything from patriarchy and feminism to my dislike of a certain Young Liberal to work and money to living in the suburbs to procrastination. Also in this issue, writing about how dying my hair blue turned out to be a big deal, whether missing out on being a ‘proper’ teenager was such a bad thing, being a student and Part I of Fan Tales which is about my experiences with the local music scene – the first part is about the downside of my favourite local bands becoming famous.

My new perzine, Beautiful Mess #1, is going to be available for trade in about a week, if anyone's interested.
The theme is setting out on my own and trying to deal with life as it comes, in a nutshell. It's fairly text-heavy, but I put a lot of images in there as well. There's a picture of the cover in my zines album on my page. Feel free to contact me for more information as well!

Functionally ill #5 is out! It's about being rediagnosed with schizoaffective disorder, applying for Medi-Cal, dealing with bureaucracy, what my anxiety feels like, and losing services. There's a lot packed into this small issue. So get in touch if you're interested in trading! The only catch is that I'm going on a big trip for the first 20 days of July. Feel free to message me here about setting up a trade, but it will take me a long time to get back to you!

My new zine, Adult Themes, is laid out and ready for photocopying.

Adult Themes is half size, with 49 pages of poetry and prose, fact and fiction. I would love to trade for it. The writing is sexually explicit and intended for a mature audience, so consider yourself warned. If you want a copy, please send an age statement along with the zine you're trading. (I just want to cover my ass here.)

If you want to learn more about this zine and a read a sample from it, visit my blog.

So guess what Conspiracy Theories is out! It has been for a while but I forgot to publicize it and i was also moving.

20 page 1/2 size perzine, this issue is about locking our doors, being sick, and as always, conspiracies. Hit me up for a trade, any trade, oh and if we've exchanged letters one will be on its way to you shortly.

I have a few zines to trade, issues 1, 2, 3 and 3 1/2 of a series of literary zines called "The Silk City Series," a series of short stories meant to be read in one sitting. They're half size and generally 10-15 pages. Issue 3 1/2 is a small catalog of found objects.
I also have a personal quarter size zine called "Cup and Saucer Chronicles" that's a collection of short essays on writing, travel, the meaning of home and Staten Island. Email me at ericnelson83 (at) gmail.com
Can't wait to trade!
