I realised there wasn't a group on WMZ specific to zine trades so I wanted to get something in place so that people can pool together their interest in trading.

Thanks for making this the biggest group on We Make Zines!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone seems to post a new thread in the forum when they want to share their zines but why not just come to one group where you know people are going to be receptive when you want to share with them!

TO GET STARTED, ADD A COMMENT INCLUDING A ONE-LINER ABOUT YOUR ZINE FOR TRADE AND A ONE-LINER ABOUT WHAT YOU'RE AFTER IN THE TRADE (IF YOU'RE FEELING SPECIFIC)....

Issue #3 of Pieces (¼ size, 40 pages) is now available for trade or purchase for $1 plus postage.

This issue was written over the span of two days during a not-so-wise writing experiment. It includes thoughts about why some people may drink to spur creativity, craving internal dialogue, loneliness, isolation from others and my writing, how bad decisions sometimes influence younger generations, and a handful of other disjointed thoughts.

If you would like to get a quick peek at the zine, see my profile for pictures.

I'm getting back into zines, and does it ever feel good!

After a 2 year hiatus, I'm re-reading a bunch of zines and writing a new one about my love/hate relationship with the city of Ottawa, where I currently reside. But seeing as how much things change, zinesters and zines come and go and styles fall in and out of fashion, I was wondering if someone (or some people) could throw a fledgling, poor student a bone?

Would anyone be willing to swap their zine, for one of mine once it's done? I know it's kind of uncouth, but if you can take the word of a (somewhat) faceless internet Samaritan, it'll be worth the wait. I promise! You'll get gems composed like this about breaking onto the roofs of luxury hotels, almost getting arrested by Mounties for taking a photos and snow. Lots and lots of snow. Or I could make you a mix CD of sweet Canadian music. Yeah? Yeah!

All that to say, I'd like to read your zine.
If I've sold you, gimme a shout and we can trade addresses and all that.

Love,
-Christine Louise

Issue 2 of "If Things Don't Alter They'll Stay As They Are" is ready now. It's better than the first I reckon, more to read. I write about men thinking it's ok to grope women on a night out, my expereiences of counselling, having children or not.

It's half size, 20 pages, B&W.

Trade away people.

If even half of the things he claims he's done in his stories are true, allowing Scott to live in society unmonitored runs the risk of making a potentially disastrous mistake. -state psychiatrist
