I realised there wasn't a group on WMZ specific to zine trades so I wanted to get something in place so that people can pool together their interest in trading.

Thanks for making this the biggest group on We Make Zines!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone seems to post a new thread in the forum when they want to share their zines but why not just come to one group where you know people are going to be receptive when you want to share with them!

All Things Ordinary #1 is out now! This is a personal zine about the last month i spent in Buffalo, NY (where i have lived all 27 years of my life) before i moved to Portland, OR (where i've been living for the past 4 months). It mostly consists of reflections on my time in Buffalo, thoughts about what lies ahead of me in Portland (i had never visited Portland before i moved here), and things that happened to me during my last month living in Buffalo. It is 24 pages and quarter sized.

I love trading zines and would prefer that, but if you don't want to/can't trade it is $3.00ppd. My paypal address is derekneuland@gmail.com.

send zine trades or $3.00 well hidden cash/money order to:

Hello Everyone!

I am happy to say that Issue One of my zine, Kaleidoscope Eyes has been finished! Issue One is a bit of an introduction issue, it's got some fortune cookie wisdom, advice from Myrtle the Turtle, and a small part of my experiences in my first year of college. If you'd like to trade, you can get ahold of me at thesekaleidoscopeeyes@gmail.com
Thanks, Ailee

I just finished Anatomical Heart #5. It's a perzine about my mental illness and more. I'd like to trade for other perzines, please. If you'd like to trade with me, email me at xbettiex@gmail.com or just go ahead and send your zine and I'll send mine back to you! Here's where it should go if you'd like to do that: Bettie Walker, 2 The Green, Blencogo, Wigton, Cumbria, CA7 0DF, UK.

Hope it's okay to post this here, as it's about an external trade... I just discovered that Alma Stoller (you'll probably know who she is, if you're into art zines; if not, check out Etsy!) is running an arty/crafty zine trade. You can get the full details here.

I think it looks like an interesting way to run a trade: she is asking for 10 copies of your zine to be sent to her, and she will send you 10 different zines, in return. Your own 10 zines will in turn be sent out to the other people who take part. I've taken part in quite a few trades lately, and it gets frustrating when you send things out in good faith & get nothing in return. With one person (in this case, Alma) co-ordinating the physical receiving & despatching of zines, I think this should mean that you will actually get as many back as you send out. For once.

This kind of trade would only work with a trustworthy host (which this one has), though - otherwise, it might be a very quick & easy way for some unscrupulous type to set up their own distro!

I would love to trade zines with anyone whos interested. I was just in the twin cities zine fest over the weekend selling/trading zines and had sooo much fun. I've been making zines since 1999. I make artsy, feminist, social commentary zines!

Hello. Anyone want to trade with me? My zine is 20 A5 pages about crafty things I like to do and includes a crafty project. It is my first zine. I will accept anything in return, doesnt even have to be your zine!

My first ever 24 hour zine is ready for you!

It is called Open Book, and it's a half size perzine .

It includes 38 things about me (and a shout out to Eunice for the idea), the story of why I live in Lawrence, KS, writing about my body image issues, and a piece about my recent run in with 81 chiggers and a tick. There's more, but I'll let some things be a surprise.

If anyone wants a copy, let's trade your lovely zine for my lovely zine.

You can write to me at

I make a litzine called 398. Issue#10 has 11 short stories with a fairy tale feel and issue #10.5 tells a bit about the stories behind the stories. I'd love to trade with others who make litzines, but I like perzines too.

Issue #11 of my perzine Feels Like Friday is done & I would love to trade!

This issue, my favourite so far, is about growing up and being angry for a reason. It features a long stream-of-consciousness piece about everything from patriarchy and feminism to my dislike of a certain Young Liberal to work and money to living in the suburbs to procrastination. Also in this issue, writing about how dying my hair blue turned out to be a big deal, whether missing out on being a ‘proper’ teenager was such a bad thing, being a student and Part I of Fan Tales which is about my experiences with the local music scene – the first part is about the downside of my favourite local bands becoming famous.
