I realised there wasn't a group on WMZ specific to zine trades so I wanted to get something in place so that people can pool together their interest in trading.

Thanks for making this the biggest group on We Make Zines!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone seems to post a new thread in the forum when they want to share their zines but why not just come to one group where you know people are going to be receptive when you want to share with them!

TO GET STARTED, ADD A COMMENT INCLUDING A ONE-LINER ABOUT YOUR ZINE FOR TRADE AND A ONE-LINER ABOUT WHAT YOU'RE AFTER IN THE TRADE (IF YOU'RE FEELING SPECIFIC)....

I JUST now finished the first zines I have made in probably close to 10 years. I'm currently printing the 1st and then scanning and printing the other two (getting them ready for the Chicago Zine Fest next weekend). The zines I have ready to trade/sale are:

Bad Wolf Girl #1 - This is the first issue of my Doctor Who fanzine. It covers some random topics like my thoughts on River Song, how I want them to bring back David Tennant and Billie Piper in season 8 (and exactly how it could be done), reviews of my favorite episodes from series 1 and 2 (of the new series) and a recipe for Gluten Free Fish Fingers and Vegan Custard. Plus a few other odds and bits. It's 1/2 sized, 10 pages., fairly text heavy.

Robotic Expression #1 - Perzine with varying vague themes. Issue #1 is loosely about undiagnosed autism. It's 1/4 sized, 34 pages.

Letter Box #1 - the first issue of my mail themed zine. Issue #1 is about subscription boxes. It's 1/4 sized, 34 pages.

All of my zines are typed text, cut and paste layout, scanned into the computer at home, arranged in a PDF file and printed on a laser printer at home.

Email me at roboticexpression@gmail.com if you're interested in a trade. :)

I'll also be at the Chicago Zine Fest. So, if you want to meet up there to trade that would be awesome. Email me ASAP.

"Memories" is a minizine filled with illustrations of little bits and pieces of things that I can remember from my childhood, growing up in a small rural area of Western Pennsylvania. The illustrations are presented as diptychs in 14 pages, quarter sized. For trades and all other inquiries please contact me at jetblackpress@gmail.com

I haven't traded zines in a long time and I really enjoyed it when I did, so it's about time I did something about it.

I have a 12 page zine (15cm x 10cm) called Dot Dot Dot made up of drawings from my sketchbook. My drawings consist of line drawings silhouetted against a dotted background. There are a few puns in there too for good measure.

It would be really nice to start trading again, so please drop me a line at jez.whitworth [at] hotmail.co.uk with your address if you're interesting and I'll write back with mine.

Thank you.

Do you like pictures of dogs doing people things? Then you might like my new zine!

Ways in which I am like my dog - 12 pages, 1/4 sized, full colour - 50p with free worldwide shipping when purchased at www.catherineelms.co.uk.  Am also up for selected trades!

It's all about my dog Toby and ways in which we’re very similar (e.g. “we love snuggling up in comfy places”).  Includes text and photographs, all handmade with love.

I write a zine called The MC Press and I have recently self-published my debut novel, Saskatoon Girls! The book is a coming-of-age story about Jake Patterson, a dreamer reluctant to surrender his youth. The book is a philosophical exploration of youth, infidelity, drugs and rock 'n' roll.

I am selling it in paperback on my website, TheMCPress.com, for $15 (plus $6 shipping in Canada and the United States, $12 anywhere else in the world).

I would be thrilled if you bought a copy of Saskatoon Girls and I would be happy to sign it for you and leave you a personal message inside.

You can also follow the book on Facebook.

Take care, amigos!

NEW YORK CITY FEMINIST ZINE FEST 2014

Do you like zines? How about feminism? Because second annual NYC Feminist Zine Fest is coming up! Mark your calenders for March 1st, 2014 from 1-6pm. This time we will be at Barnard College in uptown Manhattan, 3009 Broadway in the James Room on the 4th floor of Barnard Hall. The space is handicap accessible.

We will be opening the call for tablers very soon, so if you’re a zinester or artist interested in sharing your work, keep an eye on our website (http://feministzinefestnyc.wordpress.com/) for updates. We also need volunteers to help the day run smoothly so if you think that sounds like you (or you have questions in general), email us at feministzinefestnyc@gmail.com! RSVP to the WMZ event here!

I do swaps and sell but also have an Etsy, I find it pretty easy and I have sold about a dozen... also someone found me through my Etsy to stock a few of my zines in Canada (I'm in the uk) so that's pretty cool.
