Comment by Michael Cuthbertson on December 30, 2012 at 10:03pm My general interest zine The MC Press is having a sticker contest! Send your mailing address to editor@michaelcuthbertson.ca and I will send you these groovy stickers of our smug poster boy "Gavin White." Then take a picture of Gavin in your hometown for a chance to win a radical prize this coming June! (probably something amazing I'll buy off the Internet).

is being compiled.....
it is a 1/8 size minizine, you may submit random short (very short even) conversations with your friends, real life and online friends. funny or sad or whatever. it can be be short even as just 2 sentences from your conversation today. don't bother censoring cussing or whatever.
so basically, submit raw conversations to:

Different Shades of normal is now in it's first issue.
It's 50 pages long and handwritten.
Topics include: mental illness (schizophrenia), self-destruction, etc. This zine's central focus is Love-whether Loving another or relearning to Love one self again.
Email me at sandra_reiki_@hotmail.com . Love to trade :)

Comment by Michael Cuthbertson on October 30, 2012 at 11:47pm Hey zine-writers, I used to edit the University of Saskatchewan's paper the Sheaf and now I'm making "The MC Press": a zine about old rock music, modern counterculture, being single, university and everything in between.
I will mail you my zines if you want to mail me yours. That way we can spread the good word about our zines in each other's cities. Write me at editor@michaelcuthbertson.ca
Also, you can visit www.themcpress.com and follow it on Facebook.

Comment by Deirdree Prudence on October 25, 2012 at 1:43pm The first three issues of the Pocket Readers series are up for grabs!
1. Where Will It End? A Joy Division Pocket Reader ~ The story of Ian Curtis & the Manchester UK band that ignited the post-punk sound, Joy Division.
2. The Choom Gang: A Barack Obama Pocket Reader ~ The story of the teenaged pot smoking, idealistic Barry Obama in Hawaii.
3. We Must Bleed: A Germs Pocket Reader ~ The story of Darby Crash & the short-lived yet crazily influential Los Angeles punk band of the late '70s, The Germs.
Each issue is an 1/8 mini zine, 16 pages, b&w & radically hip. ♥
Choose one or choose all three!
