Has anyone read theFreeBoxZine? If you want, I can connect you with the publisher. It is a smart/funny/cute zine written by superaweinspiring FreeFashionistas in Portland, OR.

Being on the other side of the world I have not seen Thrift Score. Does anyone have old or double copies they would like to trade? or sell?

I offer for your consideration a quarter-size 16-page full-color illustrated zine called SHOE: A Personal History, about the many pairs of shoes in my life. It's $5 to buy, or I'd love to trade!

I'm into `60s clothes and `50s & `60s everything else! I'd like to trade with the people who have these `zines, they sound fun.

the first time I ever went to NYC, I made a beeline for Screaming Mimi's, the only vintage store I had ever heard of at the time. I bought a 70s maxi dress out of a five dollar bin and wore it everywhere. It was the start of a very long relationship with me and old clothes.

One of my favorite things to do when I visit a new town is check out their vintage clothing stores. My boyfriend and I went to Montreal last August, and while I was there, I bought a beautiful 1960s trapeze dress with a square collar, rick-rack across the bodice, and puffy short sleeves. The dress is white with a lovely green, orange, pink, and yellow floral pattern, and wearing it makes me so happy. My boyfriend also scored some fabulous rockabilly-style John Fluevog shoes with yellow diamonds on the toes (we live in Baltimore, which sadly lacks a Fluevog boutique). Does anyone else have fond feelings for an item of clothing or jewelry (especially vintage) that you purchased in another city? (Years later, I am still kicking myself that I didn't buy the Electric Light Orchestra badge I found at a Scottish flea market!)
