Hey there everyone! I was so glad to find this group : )
I'm from Connecticut most days, and Providence, RI during the school year.

Anyone here in the Southeast? We just joined and we're in North/South Carolina. I'd love to attend a zinefest of some sort, but I just started working again (I'm a journalism-type person in an industry falling apart).

Is anyone attending/tabling at the NYC zine fest?

Submit to WNHP, Vol 4, still going, yay

To my surprise, I pulled out the box of zines for sale under my couch and discovered I only have ten left. Those went fast!

This means I can definitely go on with Volume 4 since I must have made some money in sales and therefore have interest. Either that, or a whole box of zines went absently into recycling.

SUBMIT your essay on how the glass is half full in your life with a direct or indirect personal account kind of story of 1,000 words or less.
NEW! This volume I am interested in something new: Facebook status messages, send me yours. Also the interview. If you wish to be interviewed or want to interview me, contact me. I have never done either and it's on my mind.

Deadline for all submissions is now March 31.

SO no one ever reported on the Philly zine fest--sorry Nicole--but i thought it went quite well. there was a nice, steady crowd. some new faces and lots of old ones as well. it was a great day for a fest, not too hot like it has been at some points in the past. there were a number of workshops, but i'm not sure how those went since i was tabling. i felt like there were lots of "browsers" this year and i sold way more buttons than i did zines (either selling or trading), but all in all it went well. that's my story and i'm sticking to it.
