@IncurrableHippie: Okay. Thanx for the information about the Social Model of Disability. I read the article, I dont see where it says anything about referring to people as "disabled people" as opposed to "people with disabilities". Personally, with my own diagnosis of bipolar disorder, I prefer to think of myself as "Bradley with Bipolar Disorder" than "Bipolar Bradley" - but hey,"Bipolar Bradley" is pretty catchy... hehe

No, I am not my disability, that's the point. I have multiple impairments, but the disability is caused by the world around me. I am disabled by the society I live in, not by my body and mind.

@IncurableHippie: so you "are" you disability? Is that what you mean to say? Why do you take issue with person-first language?

@Bibliophile83: I think we should "allies" almost all people have some sort of disability anyway, or will at sometime in their lives, so why not include people who want to identify themselves as "allies" - do we really need an exclusive group of just "Zinesters with Disabilities" ?

I am actually FOR changing the title to "Zinesters with Disabilities" but oppose adding the "allies" part. I like keeping this just between us disabled folk.

I oppose the motion. I am disabled, not a person with a disability. I subscribe to the social model of disability not the medical model. I'd be up for adding allies to the group, but not changing to 'with disabilities'.

I think this group should be renamed "Zinesters With Disabilities & Allies".
Anyone want to second this motion?

Rebel Grrl Zine: The Survive Issue
This is a feminist zine aimed at survivors of sexual abuse and sexual violence. It is mainly aimed at women and girls, and is a 24 page A5 size zine, photocopied.

How to Write a Zine or THE ART OF PROCRASTINATION
This is ostensibly about the process of creating a zine, but is really all about procrastination - its joys and frustrations, and contains various procrastination tools and ideas within :)
This was written for the 24 hour zine project. It is a 24 page A6 zine, photocopied.

50:50 Zine #1
Double sided A4 page, 50 things I love on one side, 50 things I hate on the other. Simple as!

Photos to follow when I find my USB cable.
