I wrote a zine about the heat death of the Universe, so I suppose that counts.

Hello all,

I JUST joined here, recently started self publishing my own/others zines focusing on scifi multicultural multidimensional anthropology existential etce etc....one of the zine releases for December is certainly on topic here, and author is a good friend of mine, so I would like to promote here. . .

MECONIUM - Daniel Brigman

30 pages, 8.5x11" B&W
$6.50

"Meconium is the first bowel movements of an infant, composed of materials ingested in the uterus," writes Brigman as to overarching theme of this release. Exquisite stark journey depicted through faint indications of form/content, often obscured un/intentionally and also coherent enough to generate hidden visions; interposed throughout with hand-written poetry collected over the years as an opaque narrative of loss and degradation of human relationships. Akin to a zine of Merhige's film journey "Begotten" with some perhaps similar themes/asthetics. For the faint of heart.

I also uploaded an interview on this "Meconium" on my site

GAIT Publishing

I am down for trades especially similar asthetics/themes, alternately I have paypal, all info is on site Thank you and look forward to this community

Hi everyone! I just finished the third issue of my zine Sins of Machines, so here's a blurb. And apparently I never posted about Sins #2, which I finished awhile ago...Ooops.

Sins of Machines #3: Infanticide: Quarter-sized, 32 pages, black-and-white. This issue of my history/poetry zine focuses on infanticide in the Victorian era, with a few pages on puerperal insanity and its cures, and a close focus on my personal holy trinity of baby farm killers: Ada Chard Williams, the Finchley baby farmers, and Amelia Dyer. Also included are three poems inspired by these women, and plenty of quotes taken straight from Victorian newspapers and the court records from each woman's trial. $2 US/Canada, $3 International, or trade for your zine.

Sins of Machines #2: 1888: Quarter-sized, 36 pages, with hand-colored covers. Everything in it was inspired by the year 1888. Most of the zine focuses on Jack the Ripper, including his victims, the media portrayal of the case, and how the crimes led to social reform. Also included are seven poems (most inspired by the murders), five blind contour drawings based on the mortuary photographs of Jack's victims, two excerpts from 1888 publications, and a reflection on my first memory of Jack the Ripper, and about being both fascinated and sickened by him. $2 US/Canada, $3 International, or trade for your zine.

The first issue of my zine "Sins of Machines" contains a couple poems about death, one about the death of Carrie Brown in 1891, and another about the suicide of a Victorian prostitute (inspired by G. F. Watts's painting, "Found Drowned.") It also contains a short essay on the murders of Maria and Frederick Manning in 1849. It's not really that depressing, I hope. Just interesting and full of history geekery! :)

My zine is not just about death in general but the death & mourning of a pet -which can be as devastating as one of a human being-.

Girl w/Cat #1 describes the shock, disbelief, and then the long road to recovery when going through all the steps of grief. It's 40 pages, half-letter. 4$ Can/US, 6$ overseas, sorry cant afford to trade for right now, because I have been unemployed a lot and in a major depression, but am getting out of it soon.
Send for it at:

Death never says my dear: 30 page, 1/4 size. this is a text-heavy little zine that talks about the death of my great aunt, and the thoughts surrounding death/life/family that it spurred in me. it's decorated with hand coloured dinosaurs and lines of e e cummings. more reflective than dark, but it's not exactly a light read.
S2 or trade
drop me a note on my profile if you're interested- there's some pictures there, too.
