Be sure to submit your work by midnight tonight for a chance to be considered!

Don't know what French Fry is?

French Fry Zine aims to make sense of the complex bullshit of adulthood while simultaneously reliving the late 90's and early 2000's. We're looking for work that gives a nostalgic, retro, 90's - 2000's, or child-like feel. This doesn't mean your work needs to be stuck in the past. We encourage you to submit works that balance adulthood, childhood, and current topics.

90's kids welcome!

Submit your work to FrenchFryZine@gmail.com

Hi! NeuroZine is putting out the call for submissions. NeuroZine deals with the day to day lives of people living with mental health issues. Our debut issue focuses on the role of mental health in the workplace, both how a workplace is different for a person with mental health issues and what changes can be made to make it more accessible.

We'll be accepting submissions until April 2nd 2016 and until May 1st for a possible expanded issue. Check out our page for more details. Thanks!

1. Im looking for any and all visual art & poetry, prose and spoken word that fits, or best represents, (in YOUR opinion) the THEME: MOVEMENT - I want to explore how movement is just another form of communication (from the cliche body language to relocation or natural disasters) however I ultimately do not with to place too many guidelines on your work. :)

2. send in your selfie that best represents your 'personal aesthetic' along with 3 descriptive words of your choosing and name/contact info you wish to have credited.

3. ONLY RULES: 3 panels to each comic, must fit on one page, b&w only, jpeg or pdf file, no themes, no subject limitations, nsfw accepted, go nuts !!!

AGAIN: PLEASE EMAIL ALL SUBMISSIONS TO  attemptingn0rmal.art@gmail.com

SUBJECT LINE : C4S - your name - #number of entry

THANK YOU ! LOOKING FORWARDS TO SEEING WHAT YOU GUYS COME UP WITH!!!

CHEERS!!

send as much or as little material as you'd like to goodsisterbadsisterzine@gmail.com.

I don’t know about you, but the formative teen years of the Creative Colloquy staff were steeped in black clothes, obscure subtitled movies you’ve never heard of, and the greatest of teenage tropes – teen angst poetry!

So to celebrate National Poetry Month, Creative Colloquy is going to open submissions to your finest listening-to-Depeche-Mode-while-reading-Camus-because-your-parents-don’t-understand bullshit you can come up with.

Submission criteria (I know rules aren’t your bag, but seriously we will not read your work if it doesn’t conform to these rules):

  • Only one submission per person. We are not accepting poetry series.
  • Nothing profane. No erotica - those submissions are more suited for a future project - CC: After Dark.
  • Fifty lines or less.
  • Extra points go to poetry forms you might have learned in sophomore English: sonnets, iambic pentameter, blank verse, echo verse, etc.
  • Did you read the "General Rules for All Submissions"?

By submitting to Creative Colloquy, the author allows for a one-time publication on our website and a special one -time print publishing. All rights to the work remain with the author.

Selected submission will post April 18th, 2016.

{SEEKING SUBMISSIONS} I wish you could understand - please finish this sentence on what you wish you could tell people/make people understand about living with a mental illness. Looking for short 50-100 word answers so I can get a variety of people in and be able to send out free contributor copies to everyone who takes part (that is only right!). Speak your mind - tell it like it is! Submissions open till April 10. Since Hello My Name Is went so well I hope this will continue to open up more dialogue about living with mental illness. Email me at:  missmuffcake@aol.com - thank you!
