Wotcha zinesters! Stories From Space Camp is looking for speculative fiction (or essays about the same) for the first issue.

What: The first issue is on the theme of assimilation and/or liberation. (There's a list of prompts on the Facebook page if you're feeling stuck.) Writing should be 3000 words or fewer. All types of fiction are welcome, as well as non-fiction such as book reviews or essays about shows.

Who: We're looking for submissions from people who might feel unwelcome in sci fi/fantasy culture on the grounds of gender, disability, race, etc.

Where: We're based in the UK and ideally would be able to build a zine from submissions from the same because sending stuff abroad gets bloody expensive, but if you've got a great idea we're all ears.

When: Tentative deadline is 20th December.

Why: Because establishment sci fi is boring.

Don't hesitate to get in touch if you've got any questions or want to yell about something. StoriesFromSpaceCamp@gmail.com

UK SUBMISSIONS ONLY

Call for submissions! Issue 2 is now in the making and we want your work to be in it. Writers, poets, illustrators, artists and gobshites If you've got something to say, say it here. We are looking for works that have a fresh style of writing that will entertain and amuse readers, whilst commenting on society.
The subject can be anything at all, as long as it is well written, interesting and for an adult audience. Say what you want to and not what you think you should.

Issue 1 is still available to print and is FREE so get in touch for a taster of what we are about. Handjobzine@gmail.com! A&F

Greetings folks!

My creative vision for Turntable Operator has shifted. If the zine is going to continue, I would prefer that it focus on music reviews of all kinds of music (mostly physical releases) from the 1950s to the present, as well as band / musician discographies and record label interviews. In order to accomplish this, contributors are needed! So please spread the word and please consider sending me a review or two or three, or a discography or owner of an indie record company or record store. My inner muse is telling me that Turntable Operator does not go forward without this evolution and without your help. I hope the next issue will be published in early 2014 and all contributors will receive a copy.

Electronic submissions: singinggrove@conknet.com

Physical submissions: DJ Frederick 36 West Main Warner NH 03278.

Blessed be.

Hey all.

So, last year I worked on a project called wretch, which was a daily organizer/resource guide for radical Christians. (Similar to a Slingshot planner.)

Well, I'm working on the same project for next year and am giving a call-out for those who'd like to be involved this time around. If you wanna find out more about the project or how to get connected with it, go here: http://wp.me/P2sHGD-6

Send me a message if you might be interested!

Hi Andy--Thanks for posting this call for submissions. I'm noticing on the submission form that there's no physical address to send zines to for consideration. Are an image of the cover and the 200 word description adequate? Or should I send a physical copy or link you to my Zine Wiki page? Thanks.

I am looking for special needs cats to feature in an upcoming zine/project. Is your cat blind, deaf, an amputee or have a medical condition? Do you think this only adds to their awesomeness? Please email me at missmuffcake@aol.com for info on submitting!
