a place for zinesters - writers and readers
I’m looking for submissions from punk women aged 30 and up for a zine which explores what punk means to you. This is a non-profit zine which when compiled will be given back to those who participated in paper form. Electronic copies will be made available online for free and the plan is to make some additional paper copies available (again for free) at some gigs/festivals. The size of the zine will be determined by the number of submissions! The title of the zine is also open to change – rather than solely deciding this myself, I’m hoping the submissions themselves will shape a new title for the zine to reflect the collective nature of this (and the fact it’s based on your voices, not my own).
Submissions should be easily printable onto one side of A5 paper and be on the theme of ‘what does punk mean to you?’ You can choose whatever format you wish – you might write a poem, create a collage, or simple write a piece about what punk means to you (or think of other possibilities I haven’t!) You do not need to identify yourself in the submission if you wish to remain anonymous.
The zine is one aspect of a phd I’m currently completing which focuses on punk women over 30 and what being punk means to them. Please ask if you want to know more!
Submissions can be e-mailed or posted if preferred (just drop me an e-mail about the latter).
Submissions by 21st December 2016 please and if you have any questions, please feel free to email me. My email: firstname.lastname@example.org
ok. Blessed Be¡
