Call for Submissions: Olive Stew Zine- the ways we fuck up love

The various ways we get love wrong.

Here is the side of love that is more often seen. The times when we struggle to get it right and fall short.

Express your interpreation of this concept through photography, illustration, writing in fiction or nonfiction, haiku, painting, collage, comic - hell, I'll even take music if that's how you choose to share your story.

I would interview you or read the love line on your palm.

How have you personally fucked up love?

How have we collectivly fucked it up?

in our relationship with ourselves,

with a partner,

with family,

with friends,

with strangers,

with community,

with god,

with famous people,

with a place,

with a concept,

with an animal,

with a period of time.

Interpret this concept in a way your choosing. Be open. You could expel advice you have gleaned.

What comes up for you with this topic? What is the root of these experiences? Why can'y humans get it right?

Go deep. Or go shallow.

The zine will be legal size (8"x14") folded in half.

I will do the final format and editing so anyway you want to send me your stuff, I will make it fit.

If you want do your own formatting keep it zine friendly; black and white, with proper borders so nothing gets cutoff in the publishing process. High contrast images look best but not essential.
