Looking for zines!

I want to start carrying other people’s zines in my distro. I’m looking for perzines, compilation zines, humor zines, and literary zines. I wont carry zines that include any forms of bigotry.

If you want to submit your zine for consideration please email: cbcutouts@yahoo.com or message me on here.

Sunday, February 19th 2012, 11 AM - 5 PM

The Last Bookstore, 453 S. Spring St., Downtown Los Angeles

Hey fellow zinesters! Los Angeles is full of creative and crafty types of all disciplines, and we feel it's about time to show off our zines, comics and self-published awesomness. Join us February 19th from 11 AM - 5 PM on the second floor of The Last Bookstore at 453 S. Spring St., in downtown Los Angeles for L.A. Zine Fest 2012!!!

Not only will there be tons of amazing zines to check out and purchase, but DIY workshops, guest panels, and local bands will round out the fest on the first floor of the store. Best of all, it's FREE to attend, and super cheap to be a vendor!

Not local to Southern California? It's the perfect excuse to finally visit L.A.! There will be events throughout the city on Friday and Saturday of the same weekend.

Find out more about becoming a vendor here!:http://lazinefest.wordpress.com/how-to-apply/

Like us on facebook too!: https://www.facebook.com/pages/LA-Zine-Fest/126092794135808?sk=wall

There will be a number of pre-Zine Fest workshops, events and fundraisers happening all over Los Angeles, so keep checking the Facebook page, Twitter and blog!

Got an idea for an awesome zine-related event? Wanna be a sponsor or donate something to a fundraiser raffle? Just feel like learning more or helping out? Please contact us at LAZINEFEST@GMAIL.COM -- we'd love to hear from you!

Hi!! I don't really know where to start...I like to collage and make zines for fun, but I don't really know how to trade them or anything... they haven't been featured in art galleries or anything either...that's about it.

This site is great. It's an amazing place to find creative, unique images that evoke feelings and inspire future zines.

Well...it's nice to be part of this group! :)

On October 15, the Bel-Tower in Fresno is having an anniversary fest headlined by ACxDC, Ruptures, and Resist and Exist. We'd love to have some people table! Tabling is free, but you have to provide your own table and chairs, which I know is kind of lame, but I promise it'll be a good time. If you'd like to table, email thebeltower at gmail dot com.

Hi,

I'm new here! I'm from upland, ca (inland empire), but I just wanted to recommend the Anno Domini gallery in San Jose. They lean towards street art, but have an "art of zine" show still currently running until August 13th! Cool collection of zines, definitely inspiring :-) They have a zine library you can contribute to, and they hope to start selling zines as well!

Hey all,

I am helping to organize the 2011 Riverside DIY Print Fest at the Riverside Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 28, 12-4p.  You are invited to submit ideas for workshops, demonstrations, or discussions you would like to lead pertaining to any aspect of DIY print and publishing culture that interests you.

Also, if you (or you and your fellow DIY publishing pals) want to reserve a table to sell, promote, and/or give away your creations, please contact us at riversideprintfest@gmail.com. There is no fee to reserve a table!

If you want to conduct a workshop or secure a table for the event, please respond to riversideprintfest@gmail.c om by Monday, May 23.

Finally, PLEASE HELP US PROMOTE the event. Below is all the information you will need to for your contacts:

Saturation is a DIY art and music festival that occurs semi-annually in Riverside, CA. Saturation is a labor of love, and it’s successful because of the incredible talent in Riverside. We keep doing it because it’s fun, and because it’s vital to keep up the hard work on behalf of the bands, artists, and community that make Riverside uniquely creative and supportive.
Thanks,
Angela

Do ezines count? Or just print zines?

It took us awhile to figure it out too. But once you get a hang of it, it's really easy!

Ok, I'll join, but can't make it to Sacramento! I just came on this site, I haven't even figured out how it works yet, but I'm sure when I do it will be fun.
