Is there a website specifically for this event? Would also love to know a date for this and how to book a table etc.

gap between fayre and gig which lost some people---good point. its good to have a break though. go get something to eat/smoke/maybe just talk to people..but yes too long an amount of time could be bad.

 

would love to know the date of this ASAP! i've got so many things to book. i'd hate to not be able to come to this because i've already committed to something else

hopefully if i can make this i'd love to play for the gig and maybe get ONSIND on the bill too!

Might be a stupid question, but I take it that this is Bradford England and not USA??? If it is would love to attend.

yey! Bradford zine fayre fun!
I think we'll have another meeting soon. For anyone who is interested, here are the notes from the meeting we had at the beginning of March. We made a list of things we thought were good and bad about the last zine fayre, and threw in some good ideas too. Any ideas/suggestions/"we tried that and it was ace/didn't go so well" contributions very welcome!

GOOD:
- Having a film and food between the fayre and gig
fully accessible building
fabric space which we used for workshops
impressions as a venue
being in a city centre location which was easy to find
kids space
seating so people can chill and come back to stalls and meet each other
giant doodle
programme leaflet so people know what's going on
someone at the door to welcome people and let them know whats coming up/give them a programme
directions on lamp posts or in shop windows or chalk on pavement
bigger tables
ask for donations to our group to pay for overheads
raffle!
Gestetner workshop (this is a type of printer)

BAD
gap between fayre and gig which lost some people
people didn't know what was going on
not welcoming enough
tables too small, cluttered, not good enough for stall holders
kids couldn't really come to workshops.
I've also written 'not enough' in this list, I assume I was going to expand on this but got distracted. But maybe I just meant not enough in general.

Hi, I'm delighted you are doing another zine fayre this year. I came to last year's and I LOVED it, that was what inspired me to start making zines, and I've become a complete convert. So thanks. Would love to have a stall at this years event.
