Here are the bios of the readers for the upcoming March 16th Lyrics and Dirges hosted by Tomas Moniz! Come, come!

When people ask her what she does, Candice "Antique da Artivist" Wicks takes a deep breath and says: Me. Me is what I do. If you are asking who I am, I am a jewelry designer, singer/songwriter, educator and poet. 

John Bobst wrote: I am A Force of Nature and a silly bitch. Tomas says let my work do the rest of the talking.

Nick Johnson-Lee is a poet and playwright from Baltimore, Maryland. He is currently an MFA candidate in the writing program at the California College of Arts where he's working on his first collection of poems we, the beautifully broken. He also serves as the poetry coordinator for CCA’s literary journal Eleven Eleven. 

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Elwin Michael Cotman is a self-described “traditional storyteller” who has read at venues across the country. Known as a dynamic performer, his performances often include music, dance and song. Following a “do-it-yourself” mentality, he recently completed a 16-city tour by car through the Midwest and the South. His work has been published in Outsider Ink, The Front Weekly, The Dirty Napkin, Writers on the Green Line and Cyberpunk Apocalypse.

Stephen Meads is an amazing spoken word artist.

Angie Chau was born in Vietnam. She has lived in Malaysia, Italy, Spain, Kauai, and calls Calilfornia home. Her work has appeared in the Indiana Review, Santa Clara Review, Night Train Magazine, Slant, and the anthology Cheers to Muses. In 2009 she won the UC Davis Maurice Prize in Fiction. Her debut story collection, Quiet As They Come, was released to critical acclaim last year. Elle Magazine called the book a "darkly sparkling debut." Publisher's Weekly described the book as "serenely stirring stories" in which, "characters radiate dignity and depth, seek freedom but find crushing loneliness."
