If you’d like to hear it // I can sing it for you is an independent zine seeking submissions for Issue #001! This zine is focused on memory loss, and the negotiation of an aging and pathological body/brain and a “forgetful” self in an unaccommodating world, as well as accounts of chronic illness and the end-of-life experiences of an aging self.

We are seeking writings (300-500 words), photos, and artwork from folks in all of life’s ages and stages. This work is centered on intellectual/emotional criticisms and personal experiences of aging, illness, and death from caregivers, patients, and advocates. We are exploring the radical sociologies of aging, caregiving, and aging advocacy through personal experiences, progressive politics, and academic thought.

Please email agingzine@gmail.com with questions!

@Katherine, Yes, I would love to check out a copy. I run a distro-- would you be open to having this zine considered for the distro? You would not necessarily need to make more copies yourself if that was not convenient. We can talk more by private message-- I'll send you my mailing address. Thanks!

@zeraph dylan: I know your comment was nearly a year ago, but if you're still here:

I wrote a zine called 'adventures in unreality' about 5 years ago, which was mainly about the social cues that I'd only just discovered to exist. I tried to explain them in a way that mad sense to me as an autistic person. If you're interested, I can find a copy and mail it to you.

Best,

K

I'm looking for some great zines on ability, disability, etc., oppression and privilege associated with neurodiversity, zines from folks on the autistic spectrum, etc.

Any recommendations?

Thanks!
