@ Lucie Jones - I live on Bribie Island too. If you're looking for zine fairs I don't think there are any locally but online there are a few Zine stores like www.smellslikezines.com which is QLD based. in Brisbane there are twilight markets on at Westend on Friday nights and some folks are setting up stalls selling zines there, some zines also get sold at the monthly Suitcase rummage on occasion. I work for an arts org called Transit Lounge based in Caboolture and we are running a few zine projects. Visble Ink in Brissy also has a Zine Library.

You can friend us on facebook at  https://www.facebook.com/transitlounge if you're keen to get connected to us.

This is a message for Sydney folk  - just letting you know about a couple of zine workshops that I'm running in January. The first in on Thursday 5th January at Mosman Library. Later in the month I'm running a workshop at Blacktown Library, on the Wednesday 18th January. There are a couple of other western sydney library workshops run by Emma D, too, details here. All are for people 18 and under but I'm sure you can bend the rules a bit.

Hey Luke, well I know she's still active on facebook (she's friends with Sticky on there isn't she)? She might be focusing on roller derby training at the moment as I think she's part of Team Australia, and will be competing internationally I think sometime this year.

Hi Tim,

I have tried email and Facebook but she is not responding.  I visited the shop in Newcastle last week and it was gone and another Renew shop had taken its place.

She's on facebook - you should be able to contact her that way.

HI All,

Luke at Sticky here.

I have been trying to get in contact with Susy Pow to see what is happening with Bird In The Hand Zine Distro, but have been unable to contact her.  We have been getting lots of emails at Sticky from people trying to contact her to find out if the distro is still running.  Are you still out there Susy?  Does anyone know what is happening with the distro?

Anyone going to their 'local' occupy protest? I'm going to Occupy Melbourne tomorrow and will try to gather enough materials to put together a zine for it. Would love to hear of anyone else who has the same idea.

Hi, I'm new to zineing and have just released my 1st zine (her) to Sticky Institute or here in pdf form: http://seasoncreep.blogspot.com/2011/08/5811.html

It's brief, it's sexy, it's sad, it's got social commentary and lots or perving observayion and it's all haiku. Enjoy.
