Hi Everyone,

I've been on wemakezines for a little while now, and thought it probably time to introduce myself. I'm new to zine making, although I've been wanting to make one for a long time now and have always been interested in the wonderful world of zines. I'm more of a writer than an artist so I have teamed up with a good buddy of mine and we have nearly completed our first half-page zine - very exciting! I was hoping to check out the fair in good ol' god's country last weekend, but couldn't make it... Did anyone manage to get themselves and their zines down there? How was it?

I've just started organising a DIY festival to be held in Melbourne some time later this year which will hopefully include a zine/craft fair as well as workshops, discussions, bands and other entertainment http://community.livejournal.com/diydiymydarling/

hey, just thought I'd introduce myself.. I'm reasonably new to zine making, only having released two so far. I live in Footscray, Vic. Would love to meet some other zinesters and go to zinester gatherings, unfortunately missed out on the recent ILCW due to DRAMA, DRAMA, DRAMA.. would especially love to meet other zinesters/DIYsters with young children.

Hello Aussie zinesters!

I have a new zine called Hangin' on Cleveland Street. I recently moved into a house on Cleveland Street and was inspired to make this zine after seeing so many fascinating, hilarious and just plain random things on what I think is a one of Sydney’s most underrated streets!

Here's a bit onfo on it...

I'm not charging for the zine - only for the postage! If you would like to get your hands on a copy please drop me a line at kookzine[at]hotmail.com and I'll let you know the postage cost for your location. Trades also welcome!

Hi ya'll, This is Dan Wallwork (Wally) here from the Upholstery Arts Collective in Cairns. www.theupholstery.com
We are the group organising the Zine exhibition/event called 'Gutter Trash' up here in March 2009 (27th).

We (the Upholstery) published our first zine 'A5' in 2006 and went on to producing 6 issues ( some of the last issues are still available). We also had some in Melbourne at Polyester on Brunswick St.

So Far Gutter Trash has attracted about 7-9 different local zines and seems to be still growing! Cool huh! a zine scene in the Far North!!!

At the mo' its only open to Far North Queenslanders.... to try and razz our crew up!
But Maybe you can send me links or contacts for your zines and we will put it out there as part of Gutter Trash!

We are also looking at starting a little zine selling operation from our office. If so we'd love hook up with other zinesters and maybe sell their wares to an unsuspecting local scene!

Now that I've found this site i'll keep you all posted.
