Thanks very much! Sorry you missed out on a table - if we have any last minute cancellations we'll let you know :)
Hi all, The Other Worlds Zine Fair is happening on 25/5/14 in Sydney, Australia. It was set up as an alternative to the Museum of Contemporary Art zine fair. A small group of us decided to boycott the MCA's fair over their sponsorship relationship with a company called Transfield, who run services in Australia's offshore refugee detention centres. These detention centres have been described as being an "experiment in the active creation of horror to deter people from trying" [to seek asylum] in Australia. We don't want our zines to have anything to do with a company that profits from this bad business. From a small group of concerned individual zinesters we're now a fifty table strong zine fair. We hope some of the people reading this can make it along, or help spread the word!
I have made a small '3 fold, 1 cut' zine called 'The Fire Maker.' If you'd like to trade a similar zine please PM me. Thanks.
hello hello hello. as our last HURRAH for 2013 - the CanberraZine Emporium is super excited to present the Canberra launch of Ninety 9, the latest book from prolific and much loved Sydney zinester Vanessa Berry.
Ninety 9 is “a memoir about being a teenage music fan in Sydney in the 1990s. Record stores, mix tapes made from the radio, band t-shirts & staying up late to watch Rage.”
We're based in Melbourne, come say hello :)
Lots more zines on their way soon!
