There's a zine fair somewhere in Marrickville at 1pm this Sunday, January 25.
I don't know much about it other than that it's part of the Decolonise Festival, that has bands and workshops and at least one competition.

Next invasion day weekend will mark the 220th anniversary of European settlement in Australia. A short distance from the flag waving and the Big Day Out, in the industrial outskirts of the proudly diverse suburb of Marrickville, a cluster of emerging independent venues will be invaded by punks, artists, activists, DIY merchants, zinesters and what-have-yous. Decolonise will mark the first collaboration between these young warehouse dwellers and an exploration of the possibilities of this unique setting for underground Sydney music, arts and activism.
Across (and between) more than five venues, this small weekend wasteland will be a setting for a sprawling array of gigs, workshops, discussions, zine fairs, film screenings and spontaneous festivities! Pubs, clubs and theatres get stuffed! We will explore how to decolonise: how to think outside the scope of our “scenes”, and how to avoid being isolated from our environment (without turning Marrickville into another Glebe). Let’s kickstart a new wave of independent art!
