NEW DISTRO: currently accepting zines for consideration!

we're into a bit of everything right now: activism, art/design/illustration, comics, the dark & the bizarre, eco-friendly guides, feminism & gender issues, kid-friendly zines (yeah, why not?), how-to guides, literary/fiction, mental health, vegan, and perzines about these topics too. but you can check the full topics list here.

FALSE START DISTRO IS HAVING A SALE!

Okay, so we only have a little less than a week left for March, but I thought I'd give all ya'll a heads up on the sale going on at False Start (www.false-start.com). The deal is, with every order you make for the month of March, you get ONE free zine, equal to or less than the value of the most expensive zine in your order. So, if the most expensive zine in your order is $5, you can choose a zine that costs $5 or less to throw in FREE! Don't add the zine to your cart, instead just write which zine you'd like for your freebie in the 'notes' section.

False Start places a special emphasis on art and art-related zines, so please, if this is your thang, check it out! And if you make any art zines, we're always accepting submissions, just check out the site.

Hey guys,

My name is Aaron, and I run a small brand in San Francisco called PopJunkie Design http://www.popjunkiedesign.com We sell limited edition apparel and homewares and we're looking to expand into digital zines for the iPad. We have yet to launch that portion of the site, but are actively looking for zinesters who would be interested in being some of the first to expand their readership to the tablet. 

We love the feeling of printed ink on paper, but feel like the iPad provides a really great avenue for artists to expand their readership, make some more moola with no additional overhead, and eventually expand into animated/video zines. What we would provide is a marketplace to sell your digital zines, similar to consignment. You let us know what you want to charge and we take 40% of sales, and you take 60%. You are welcome to sell your printed or digital zines anywhere you want. This is just another outlet to get your zine out there.

hi i am not sure if people still check this site regularly, but i am looking for people who would like to collaborate on unique art and lit zines. more info in the discussion. the idea is bringing back the old school mailart-like zines that are each unique. :D im tryign to find pictures to show you guys what im trying to do but... i am still to lazy to get up and peruse the library right now. lol. anyways, email me at i_reply@live.com or reply to the discussion if you're interested :D
