a place for zinesters - writers and readers
Hello, fellow zinesters! Just wanted to get the word out that I have a new issue of my zine 'Bird Shit' available for sale on Etsy. You can also order back-issues from the Etsy site as well. I'm pretty excited about the current issue. It's a different approach than my previous zines in that this issue takes place over only a week's time whereas my previous issues span over the time of a few months. It's about a cross-country road trip spent staying in hostels and living in a completely bare-bones fashion. If you're interested, here's a link to the Etsy page-- Bird Shit on Etsy.
For other information, randoms, and updates on the zines, visit my blog Great White Appetite.
Does anyone else have any experiences about selling zines on Etsy?

Permalink Reply by Billy Da Bunny on June 9, 2012 at 4:48am I've had lots of luck selling zines on etsy. Etsy is cool, in general. especially if you are constantly uploading new things. there is also a group on there called "Team Zine" that helps you find other ppl. I've bought a lot of zines off etsy as well.

i've had a good experience trading zines on etsy. i just look for zines made with similar cost & effort to mine (24 pages, small) & contact the shop owner about trading.

selling on etsy can be tricky, seems like etsy is better for people selling larger items as they take 20 cents from every item. (a lot when items are 1.00)
everybody else search up rochester teen set outsider on etsy!

Permalink Reply by Alex Wrekk on December 15, 2012 at 11:51am hey there! I'm the Team Captain for Team Zine on Etsy. Here's a link to it: www.etsy.com/teams/6488/team-zine
We don't do a lot and the Etsy team system is sort of weird. There is no way to message all the members and we just haven't been very active. It is nice to see that so many people support zines on Etsy.
I also have my own Etsy page. I started it in 2006 for my zines and called it Brainscan but I'm now transitioning to call it after my button shop and zine distro, Portland Button Works. I'm not putting the distro zines up, just my zines and lots and lots of buttons, magnets, and bottle openers. A lot of them are even zine related!
