a place for zinesters - writers and readers
We're about to start getting things together to put in the Chicago Zine Fest Program and I was just wondering what would be helpful to you, as a tabler, attendee, out-of-towner, etc, in a comprehensive zine fest program?
Last year we included: a list of exhibitors, a map of tables/tablers, lists of events, a 'get-to-know-you' style scavenger hunt, maps of the two neighborhoods that events were in, and the sponsor/donor info.
What would you find super helpful? Tips for public transportation? Locations of copy shops near fest events? A phone number of one of the organizers? Hidden gems in the city?
Do you want the exhibitor listing to be by exhibitor name or zine name, or maybe you'd like a list done both ways?
Any suggestions will be considered!

things that would be helpful would be public transportation maps to/from the event, a listing of cool places like indie book or record stores (and let these stores know that you (the program coordinator) have mentioned them!), cheap places to eat/drink/sleep.
other fun things might include some kind of contest (or a series of mini contests), for something like, "most well presented table" or "zinester with the most interesting hair color"

But most importantly--from a library cataloger's perspective--listing the date & year, providing the editors' full names (or zine aliases), including a copyright (or anti-copyright) statement, and numbering the pages would be grand! This goes for all zine makers. Help us preserve zine culture, y'all! :)
