What other Ning pages do you participate in?

Hi,

 

I'm new to the whole Ning thing...

 

I've been trying to look up networks for independent comics creators — and everything seems to be shut down (I guess because it looks like Ning recently started charging creators?). Is this platform obsolete? If not, what other networks do you all dig?

ning did start charging. what they had been giving away for free became their top-price plan. i'm curious about whether there are other good free social networking platforms out there also
