We Make Zines

a place for zinesters - writers and readers

I was pondering this, and figured other zinesters might have some thoughts - Whenever I make zines I inevitably end up with heaps of paper scraps I have no use for (ephemera and misprints). Obviously I could make recycled paper, or just throw it out in the recycling bin, but I'm not crazy on either of these ideas. They're not useful enough that I can think of anyone who would want them, not useless enough that I feel ok throwing them out. Has anyone come up with something better to do with paper scraps?

I give some paper scraps to our (domestic/pet) rats for them to play/nest with.

I do exactly the same, as well as junk mail, tram tickets and all the bills I don't want to look at. Put it through a paper shredder and they love it - and it can be composted once they've made a mess of it.
