Texas Zine Scene (Fort Worth more specifically)

Wow, its been a long time since I've really, really been active in the zine scene, and it so seems that the tiny little bit of a zine scene that Fort Worth, TX had going on has completely died out.

Is there anyone left in Fort Worth making zines or at all involved in this sub-culture anymore?

I stepped away from the scene because I got so busy with life (which, I am guessing is what has happened with everyone else) and I was living in another state for a while. I lost touch with everyone and now can't even find my zine collection, all I've got left are a few dozen zines from years ago, I don't know where the rest went.

Anywho, I guess this is me, Becca Darling (aka Becca Confidential) officially reaching out to any and all zinesters in the DFW area. I miss you all and I wish to get in touch with all of you. I'm writing for examiner.com these days and my main topic is zines and the scene in Fort Worth... not that that matters...

So, *knock knock* anyone home?

i have no idea. i live in the southmost tip of tx which is practically mexico... so im am out of the loop, really! but if there is a "scene" in the DFW area that would be super cool. i wan to finally attend a zine event/ fest, for the love of....

I know that at one point a few years ago I was trying to create a zine fest with the people of 1919 Hemphill, but we all kind of stopped talking to each other, and I heard that they changed "management" (if you really can in a volunteer situation??) and the talks of having at least a tiny one stopped. Though, I know that they did eventually make a radical library that has tons of zines in it. That's about it-- what little bit of a scene that DFW had seems to have completely died.

There's definitely a zine scene in the DFW area, I just moved from there, but it's mostly among the 13-18 year olds. There's a lot of young zine writers in Arlington.

I feel so weird I started my zine life when I was 13--and now I'm 21 and trying to get back into it. I feel like I'm a newbie to it all over again.
