a place for zinesters - writers and readers
Hi! I'm new to zines, but really like the idea of swapping with someone. However I'm underage and therefore am not comfortable giving out information to just anyone, like address etc. What are some ways to participate that I can still keep my privacy?

well, one of the reasons i have a p.o. box is for privacy reasons. [though it's mostly because i'm usually homeless!] you could go that route, it helps keep the postal service in business! but it costs about $114 a year for the smallest kind. [this information is accurate for in the US only, i don't know about other countries.]
otherwise i would recommend going to zine or alternative press events! depending on where you live you may have an opportunity to attend things like this, where people are tabling their work all in one place.
lastly i guess there are e-zines but i think that's kinda yucky.

I started with a PO Box in high school so I could have pen pals and trade zines. Also, you may want to try to purchase zines from distros. That way you can get many zines and the only person who would have your address would be the owner of the distro.
