We Make Zines

a place for zinesters - writers and readers

I'm thinking of starting a distro, but I don't want to have it solely consist of zines. I do performance art, and I'm passionate about a few things (both serious and silly) so I want to share some of my favourite finds with others. Zines, music, pasties - it'll likely not have a wide range of stock, but whatever it does have is carefully and lovingly chosen.

Are there any recommended resources on starting a distro that's more like a consignment-shop/craft-shop/etc? Google just gives me warehouse distribution, with one article that's zine-related, but I'd also like to have some resources from outside the punk/zine culture (since that's the audience that's likely to buy stuff from me).

Thanks!

Well I'm involved in performance art, and I work as The Merch Girl for various gigs, so some of their merch (which goes from CDs to t-shirts to pasties) would be great. So far the closest example I can think of is Amanda Palmer's Post War Trade, which distros speciality merch made by fans - from makeup to bags.
