We Make Zines

a place for zinesters - writers and readers

I know we're all going to do it, so I guess we could keep it neat and tidy by putting it all in one thread. So here goes, JUST post about your new issue in this thread, don't discuss or reply, that way new members can easily see what output we're all responsible for!

All Things Ordinary #3

I created this zine at Portland’s 2nd Annual 24 Hour Zine Challenge. This zine was made between 10:00am July 24th and 10:00am July 25th, 2010. It is all about notable shows and concerts I have been to over the years. Seeing bands I never thought I’d have the chance to, singers attacking me, pepper spray, stage dives, and so much more.

24 Pages, black and white photocopied on 100% recycled paper, quarter sized (5.5″ x 4.25″)

All Things Ordinary #3 is $3.00ppd or trade. Paypal link on my blog: http://allthingsordinary.wordpress.com, also available on etsy: http://www.etsy.com/shop/readwritecreate

I love trading zines, but when sending me a zine for trade make sure to note that. Also, a letter would be nice too! Send zine trades or $3.00 well hidden cash/money order to:

'Larry' issue three is A5, 32 pages, black and white, and as always printed on recycled paper (though this time it's 120gsm paper as oppose to 80, so it's a little heavier...). Each copy is hand-tied, numbered, and has a little window cut out of a cartridge paper cover, this time using a sharper scalpel, but with a rather crooked ruler.
Content in this issue includes friendships, promiscuity, visual identity, a guide to the drawing technique of sgraffito, and a bunch of other things, with illustrations throughout. There are some photos of spreads on my profile.
I've made fifty copies and would love to trade them for stuff, so if you'd like one feel free to get in touch...
Thanks

Musea Email Club #52134

THe August/ September Musea, Issue #176, is now out in the print version, AND webmaster Matthew has posted it on our website, musea.us.

This issue is the iDEAS issue and there's plenty to think about in these pages. There are decades of new ideas in the ARTS, EDUCATION, MEDIA, GOVERNMENT REFORMS, PROTESTS, BIOLOGY, TOYS AND GAMES, and two broad categories FOR THE GOOD OF ALL, AND OUT AND OUTER. I'm proud of this big issue. I think you'll enjoy it.

Here's the preface.
For those who look for new ideas, this issue is dedicated to you.

Reader,
Society often trumps up praise for originality. But in truth the real inner passion is for no change. Being one who praises originality in thinking, and has strived to suggest innovations over many years; I have found great resistance to ANY new ideas from almost ALL people. The person who considers new ideas is rare. The person who seeks it out, is almost non existent.

This issue is written for those rare few . It contains a collection of my major ideas over the last few decades. Some of them may prove to be groundbreaking. Some may prove to be unworkable. Some are just fun. See what you think. Then contact me with YOUR thoughts.
