We Make Zines

a place for zinesters - writers and readers

I know we're all going to do it, so I guess we could keep it neat and tidy by putting it all in one thread. So here goes, JUST post about your new issue in this thread, don't discuss or reply, that way new members can easily see what output we're all responsible for!

Adult Themes is half size, with 49 pages of poetry and prose, fact and fiction. I am asking $2 or trade for it. The writing is sexually explicit and intended for a mature audience, so consider yourself warned. If you want a copy, please send an age statement along with your order. (I just want to cover my ass here.)

My address is

Sorry for the back-to-back shameless self-promotion, but I realized that I hadn't posted anything here about Mistaken for Straight. Here's the info:

Mistaken for Straight in one woman's contemplation on identity, sexual orientation, bisexuality, queerness, gender roles, and the possibility of liberation It includes definitions, rants, confusion, poems, coming out stories, frustration, and info on reading material. It is half size and has 33 pages.

I am asking $2 a copy, or I will for sure take trades, which I really dig.

Send $$$$ or trades to

Issue 2 of my zine The Quick and The Dead is now available.

It's 28 quarter-sized pages of poetry and introspection. Like every other zine I've ever written it's a mixture of litzine and perzine, and it's text heavy.

My e-mail address is liseusester[@]googlemail.com, and the address for paypal is liseusester[@]gmail.com. If you have any questions or queries, just e-mail me.
We've just finished and uploaded the 3rd Quarter 2009 issue!

I've become hooked on mini zines and made three in the last two days! I thought I'd post blurbs about them here in case anyone wants to read them:

Raven: a mini zine about the goddess Morrigan

A short biography of the Irish goddess of war and death, as well as a small note on why I feel drawn to her and love her stories. There is also an insert that comes along with it that tells about an unusual experience I had the day after writing this zine.

Books of 2009 {Thus Far}

A few book reviews of books I've read this year, including How to (Un)Cage a Girl by Francesca Lia Block, Succulent Wild Woman by SARK, a children's book by Neil Gaiman, the Twilight saga, and more.

She Said

A pocket-sized collection of seven out of the many quotes by women that have made me feel happy or empowered, including quotes by Tori Amos, Alice Walker, and Carrie Fisher. The pages are decorated by collage art.

They're all 8 pages, except Books of 2009, which is 16 pages.

You don't have to send me anything for them since they really only cost 1 stamp to send, although if you WANT to send me a stamp or trade, I'm always open to those things too!
New Issue! I Could Live In Hope: Sexual Abuse and Survival

In this zine I was able to tackle my history with sexual abuse as an adolescent, and my journey to healing and forgiving. Message or comment if you're interested in buying or trading. $3 for North America, message me for international.

Message me about wholesale for distros!
