New compilation zine on children's books looking for contributions

The existence of this community has inspired me to try to resurrect a long standing comp zine project, the children's lit comp zine. If you are interested in contributing I'd like you to read your favourite book from childhood and write about what you liked about it then and how you feel about it now. If you write something, are thinking of writing something or have any questions please contact me at patsydecline @ gmail dot com . You can do a book someone else has already done of course so you don't have to check if your book is taken. I can't wait to read your thoughts!

I have previously done the comp zine "For your own good" on mothers, daughters and body image a few years ago so if you are interested in that (I have a few copies left) get in touch too.

hi kate, i've been steadily re-reading all the moomin books and i just got my childhood copy of ronja the robber's daughter by astris lindgren, i could re read that too and try to get something together for you. while visiting my parents last week i also found a copy of iris rukka by anni swan (i don't think it was ever translated to english though...)

the thing is i can't remember what i loved about them when i first read them.. i have horrid memory.

I'm putting the zine together now! Sorry it hasn't been as quick as it could have been but I'll be getting in touch with everyone who contributed to get yr addresses to send you a copy as soon as it rolls off the photocopier. Hopefully I'll be doing another issue if anyone is still interested in writing for it but hasn't had time.

I've finished the zine at long last! I will be at the London Zine Symposium tomorrow and try to track down the contributors who are there to give you copies and be contacting the rest for their addresses if I don't already have them. And of course there'll be an announcement in the new zines thread!

If anyone missed the first issue I'm happy for early contributions for the second issue. Thanks for all your help (and patience!)
