a place for zinesters - writers and readers

So I finished on subbing and with my recent decision to become a special education teacher and with my new job at work as the leader of the sunshine club for kids with special needs I was wondering if there are any zines out there about maybe siblings who have a brother or sister who are handicapped or parents dealing with their kids or anything really. The books I have to read for school are so medical and it would be nice to hear what people actually going through these things have to say. I know there are a few with mental health and those seem to be the ones I can never find copies of :(

My Baby Rides The Short Bus

I read and loved My Baby Rides the Short Bus. Then I loaned it to my mom, who runs a preschool. If you're looking for mental health zine, I would be happy to trade you for mine. It's called functionally ill. My friend Megan Allore who has a page here is making a zine called Three Degrees: A Zine About Autism. You could message her about that. Good luck in your quest.

The zine ON SUBBING was actually about a guy who worked as a substitute teacher for special needs students so that'd probably be right up your alley.
