a place for zinesters - writers and readers
Hi! My name's Gray, and a few friends and I were interested in making a digital zine that we could sell. We want for it to be purely digital, that way we won't have to worry about printing and shipping costs, and when people buy it we're planning on giving the money to charity. So by cutting out the printing/shipping steps, we can donate all the funds we get from it to charity. Unfortunately, the google searches I've made on how to do such a thing haven't been all that great, so I was wondering if any senior zine makers had any ideas on how I could do this please?
I did a digital craft zine called The Monthly Muse for about eight years. I put my issues together in Publisher, converted them to .pdf files, and uploaded them to a digital delivery service---first, e-junkie, and then Ecwid. Now that Etsy accepts digital goods, it would also be possible to sell from there.
I don't know what else to tell you. Ask some questions.
