We Make Zines

a place for zinesters - writers and readers

If you are not familiar with his work, please do some research.  The author of "People's History of the United States" passed away last night at the age of 87.

He loved free thinking, he loved independent publishing, he loved challenging the status quo.  He was a hero to the underground, and an annoyance to the ruling class.  He wrote tons of books, released a number of audio CDs.  Much has been written and said ABOUT him as well.

If you don't know his stuff, you should.

RIP, Howard Zinn.

i was super bummed to hear about Howard Zinn passing. I never got to see him speak, but i once took a class for the sole reason that "People's History..." was the textbook.
i was sad to hear about both zinn and salinger.
I think I'll be doing an article on his work, and how it is relevant to the DIY community particularly - let me know if you want to contribute.
