i also use long/tough needle...put a staple through
pages and bend over prongs with a letter opener...or
knife blade...works easity on 4-8 folded pages
I've never in my thrifting life seen a long-arm stapler at a thrift store or at a yard sale.

That doesn't mean shes blind. it just means that you two have been to different sales. Maybe searching craigslist, though?
That isn't necessarily true. i go to thrift stores a lot and I've never seen a long arm stapeler. Sorry. Maybe it's different where you are.
