We Make Zines

a place for zinesters - writers and readers

I'm not sure if this is really an appropriate topic for WMZ, but since we make zines with machines, old or new tech, and machines need replacement parts, I suppose it would be.

I often compose my zines on an early 90's WP 700D word processor. (Why? Because computer printers can't print or cut ditto or mimeo masters.) But my "w" is chipped. It's readable but it doesn't look good. So I need a new daisy wheel. I've done a Google Shopping search, but as usual, the variations are so many I became overwhelmed and confused. Also, I'm very, very cheap, and I don't want spend $25 for a daisly wheel. I usually pick them up for a dollar, or less, at thrift shops, but I haven't been able to find any for a Brother for a while.

If anyone has or can point me to a really cheap daisy wheel---say, $5---I'd appreciate it. Maybe some of you thrift store workers would have access to them. What about bartering one for one, or several, of my zines? Remember, it's for a Brother WP 700D.
