html help

if there are any html ninjas out there... i am stuck / need help with linking to a spot on a page. i've been reading up on it, but there seems to be something quirky with blogger code. help?

You should only need two lines of html to do that, both here: http://www.boutell.com/newfaq/creating/namedanchors.html

 

It's kind of hard to troubleshoot someone's problem without being able to see the problem?

 

On blogger, make sure you are editing your page through something that allows html, not something intended just for text.

i'm starting to get it. i had already found those formulas, but i could never get them to work. i finally just figured out a work around by putting the anchor in a widget, and then the link in another widget.

 

my first problem was i was trying to anchor to the title of one widget (Other Zine Review Places.) my second problem was trying to put the link in a line item in another list widget (Contents .)

 

i could not figure out how to insert the anchor code into the page template html, and i also could not figure out how to put the link info into the available widgets, which are quirky and don't take straight html.

 

now that i have the work around, i'm appeased for the moment. i still want to figure out the correct way to solve this, as the end result will be a lot cleaner. if you have any additional thoughts, or know someone who knowledgeable specifically about blogger code, i still need some help.
