Coloured paper

Printing my zines on coloured paper is my new love (although the WB on my camera doesn't seem to like the green background, and it's changed the colours of the paper). I never had access to a print shop that stocked it, but now I use a place that charges the same for bulk copying on coloured as on white, so I feel free to go wild.

Do you prefer to print on coloured or white paper? Do you have pics of yr zines printed on coloured paper for me to see?

I have yet to use colored paper, mostly 'cus I'm so tight on money that I wonder if it's worth the extra money. However, for my next issue I have decided no matter how broke I may be.. I am venturing out into the world of colored paper. ;)

I usually print on white paper and then use colored covers, just beacause I find it a little hard to read colored paper. It's a great idea, though, and I might have to kidnap it for my next zine. At kinkos the colored paper is free.

Yeah, I used to be "too cheap" for colored paper til I realized how easy it was to come by and what a big difference it makes. My only issue is the prevalence of the same standard copy paper colors, just because they're so recognizable and remind me of some office memo. I've been trying to do small print runs on paper never meant for a copy machine and then spraying fixative on to keep the toner from rubbing off...but that is (a) time-consuming while not being fun like block-printing and (b) shitty for the environment.

The place I use is a environmentallly friendly community centre type place, so most of their coloured paper is recyled, which is good, and also means they have some different colours, like the purple.

Those are beautiful. For the record. I really want to print mine on bright pink paper. But that yellow looks great.

It's annoying- the copy place I use has some magnificent bright pink paper, but you can only use it single sided, because something about the finish makes it jam into the double-sided feeder
