We Make Zines

a place for zinesters - writers and readers

I have a large amount of zines to donate, but all I see are listings for zine libraries for youth organizations. A lot of these zines aren't really youth oriented. What's a zine library is a good place to donate to that will take them all? I'm looking for U.S.  Thanks!

I work at Hampshire College & run the zine collection there - you can take a look here: http://sites.hampshire.edu/zines/

We'd certainly be willing to take them off your hands!  We are somewhat limited in space, although I'm hoping I could ask our library director for more space, especially if we had a sizable donation heading our way.  Another option might be the Flywheel Arts Collective's zine collection, which is quite active.

Well, let me know if you're interested!

I wouldn't recommend the San Francisco Library, the last time I went in there to look at zines, they had them hidden in a box somewhere so no one could really access them. I was pretty disappointed. They also only accept local zines.

Just moved to Amherst. Will check out the zine library tomorrow.

A little late on this since my use of WMZ has been scarce this year, but Las Vegas Zine library is still up and running strong! We have a growing collection and are always looking for more! Will help pay for shipping :)

Totally missed this at the time, but that's great!  I hope you got to check it out (or will check it out in the future).  The library's open throughout the summer, so the zine library's available to look at whenever the library's open.

I`m based in the UK and looking for donations in view to the creation of a zine library, in the North West (Liverpool region).

On the off chance, if you are interested in donating any zines you may have left internationally, I am sure I can help out on postage/packing/shipping.  Please get in touch if you can help.

Thank You

If you are still looking, the Jacksonville, FL Main Library has a large zine section. several thousand zines. Right on the main floor lobby next to the new release section. Very prominent location in a very large library.

Feminist-oriented zines are always welcome to In Other Words Feminist Community Center in Portland, OR! (inotherwords.org) We have a zine library. Also, the Independent Publishing Resource Center (iprc.org) here has a zine library as well, as does the Portland Public Library. (multcolib.org)

The folks at the public zine library in the UK are great! They are very active, taking their library all over the place, posting online, and sharing their collection

Hi!   I know this is an old thread, but if you still have zines that you're looking to donate, I'm starting a Zine Library here in Naples / Fort Myers and need zines! Please help bring zines to SW Florida!

Reply here, or message me for my address / additional info.

Thank you!
