Anyone else do sewing zines?

I just made one about how to draft a pattern for a skirt for any size and shape and make it properly with all the correct topstitching and so on. Basically it was inspired by how lame most "beginner's projects" are in sewing books, usually a hideous wrap around skirt with all the neat little finishing details that make it look like real clothing missed off. I know how to sew whatever, courtesy of my nan and school sewing classes, but most sewing books seem to either be patronising ones for people who can't even sew a button, or super advanced pattern cutting manuals, and not cater for every size, so I thought I'd make a simple little zine showing you how to make a nice skirt for anyone and everyone.

Does anyone else here do sewing zines? I'd love to trade (not just the skirt zine, you probably know how to draft a skirt pattern, any of my zines).

My mom thought about doing one, but never got around to it.

I do one, but it's a very basic one - just an intro to the sewing machine. Trade anyways if you're into it.

I would hope to do one in the future, maybe a bit about embroidery as well, and I would be thrilled to trade at that point. ^_^

Sewing is kind of my nemesis - I feel as though I ought to be able to sew because I love everything else crafty. I recently took the plunge and bought myself the tiniest of tiny sewing machines, because I really think it would be practical just to be able to, you know, hem things, make the occasional bag etc. I think I might have to check out Sarah-Marie's intro to the sewing machine, because I am, it must be said, terrified. Hand-sewing I can just about cope with, and made a couple of little freaky plushies earlier in the year.

But I've put together a free zine, which includes the pattern to make a Morsbags eco-bag (www.morsbags.com), which I send a copy out with all my sales & trades etc. My own zines at the moment are DIY weaving based (but the first Telaic Fantasy includes a small cross stitch chart). Future zines will be mostly papercrafts, perhaps a spot of printing, but will include more embroidery, and who knows, if I get to grips with the sewing machine, may also include some basic sewing patterns, too - but I can't imagine they will ever get beyond basic, so probably not much use to Emma Jane in terms of trade...
