Alternative Comics & Kickstarter

I have been making alternative mini-comic/zines for the last couple years out of Portland, OR and now Austin, TX.  I am finally self-publishing my comic "The City Troll" and raising funds through Kickstarter.  I hit the 50% mark and have been at a standstill the last couple days.  

Has anyone raised money through kickstarter before and have any advice?  Are there any good blogs/websites that would help promote an alternative comicbook?

I really need to do something like this, it's at the point where I can't afford to make my zines anymore.
