We Make Zines

a place for zinesters - writers and readers

Old zines we wish we could find:

Since this is a forum for zine nerds, maybe here we can say "oh I wish I could find a copy of (blah blah blah) zine" and some other old fart can say "oh that zine, I have a copy of it in my attic!" and then we can trade, everyone goes home happy.

Does anyone remember a zine called: "The I Hate People Gazette"? It was late 80s/early 90s and was done by some sort of horror obsessed, goth kid from Maryland (I think). Anyone who has info, let me know? http://www.csh.rit.edu/~diablo/icon/icon15.html This is a defunct website, with no current informatiom, but that picture is fuckin awesome.

Also, a Montana based punk fanzine called "Shat Apon" (or Shat Upon) .. Anyone? anyone?

I'm sure there's more...

it was put out by fraser from starvation army (the band, not the zine of the same name thats around clevo these days.) my dad was in idiot humans and was friends with those guys so thats why it was in his stuff, thus how i found and read it. i don't remember exactly which bands were mentioned but i can dig it up and let you guys know.

the very first zine i ever read was called "positive youth" and its from 1981 i think, about the clevo punk scene. dunno if it would exactly fall into what you're looking for but maybe you'd find it interesting?

POSITIVE YOUTH? I have not heard of it.
But it sounds hilarious. Do you know who put it out?

Um, wow.
it is sort of scary that your dad was in Idiot Humans.
That makes me OLD.

Yeah, if you can dig it up, I would love to hear/see more about it.

I know a few issues are now being re-printed, but I would love more copies of 'Craphound'!
I have quite a few extra copies of the 1990's American zine 'Thrift Score' if anybody would like copies, let me know and I'll post them to you, I got sent loads when I ordered some back issues from the lady who wrote it some years back.

Just a note to say, all my copies of Thrift Score have gone now! If anybody is still looking for some, Al Hoff has a website here: http://members.tripod.com/~Al_Hoff/ which you may be able to still get back issues through?
I'll keep checking this thread though in case anybody requests something I may have stashed away!

Hey, I'm always looking for mini-comics / comic zines of all types, all decades -- especially collections or large lots. I'm happy to pay in trade or cold, hard cash!

I especially love mini-comics from the '80s and earlier but I'm interested in most any minis...
