a place for zinesters - writers and readers
Once again we gather to celebrate our creative voices and the things we worked so hard to make and show! Zine Fest Houston is upon us again!
This year at the Museum of Printing History, we'll be celebrating and enjoying new works, print demonstrations, artist talks, a panel discussion, and super fun and cool raffles! Our featured talks include David Ensminger, punk rock historian and zine archivist, and Michael Bise, an artist and author of "Life on the List," a graphic novelization of his experience with surgery and hospitalization recently featured on Glasstire.
Kids and families are welcome! There will be workshops for kids and teens, located in the Museum's Classroom, scheduled from 4-7pm with Harris County Public Librarian Maggie Block.
We hope you will join us for this FREE event from 3-8pm and see some new things, appreciate new artists, and perhaps see things unlisted here as of yet...!
Food will be available for purchase on site which includes vegan and vegetarian pizza from Broke Ass Pizza Cooperative and burgers from Bernie's Burger Bus. However, NO food or drink is allowed inside the museum please. The Billy Pilgrim Traveling Library will also be present at Zine Fest!
Bring cash for buying zines and other awesome handmade things!
The after party will be at The Doctor's Office immediately following Zine Fest Houston.
