DESCRIPTION:The 7th annual London Zine Symposium will be a day celebra

  stalls from across the world!\n \nWorkshops including:\n \nThe conq
 uering and bold defiance: a radical history walk around Spitalfields/B
 rick Lane\nLearn about this area’s long and rebellious past: rioting
  silkweavers, Jewish radicals, anarchists, anti-fascist struggles, gen
 trification and conservation, and much more. The walk is being organis
 ed as part of the London Zine Symposium by Past Tense.\n\nAtari punk\n
 All dayBereavement tape will be running a casual workshop at their tab
 le throughout the day showing people how to make an Atari Punk Synth w
 ith their introduction to DIY electronics.\n\nTape trade box\nMixtapes
  aren’t dead yet. Bring along a mixtape and trade it for one that so
 meone’s left in the box. Find out about what music makes other zines
 ters tick.\n \nZine making 101\n\nThis is a chance to get some advice
  for all of your zine making questions. Three zinesters (to be confirm
 ed) will be offering help and stories relating to making zines using r
 isographs, photocopiers and ‘proper’, off-set litho, printers. Hop
 efully the workshop will give new information to anyone interested, bu
 t is primarily aimed at those who have just started out in the world o
 f zines.\n\nThrowing zines at Thatcher\nIn the 1980s zines were an ess
 ential part of the resistance to the Tory government. Come along to he
 re the history, from zinesters involved, and discuss whether zines can
  be relevant to fighting Tory cuts in 2011.\n\nWhat’s coming up next
 ?\nThe Alternative Press fair, and other upcoming zine festivals, talk
  about what they’re planning for zines in the next six months. Come 
 along and introduce your own projects or simply find out what’s comi
