Two exemplary endeavors in contemporary feminist publishing will come together to explore the state of feminist discourse as it emerges in the form of online publications, handmade zines and printed magazines. Jessica Hoffmann and Daria Yudacufski, co-publishers/co-editors of make/shift, a national magazine that creates and documents contemporary feminist culture and activism, will describe their efforts and the broader state of feminist media. Afterwards, participants will join Margarat Nee and Kim Riot of Grrrl Zines A Go-Go for a picnic lunch and hands-on zine-making workshop.
