DESCRIPTION:A workshop/discussion event with three aims:\n\n1. To intr
 oduce people to and inspire them about “zines”. Zines (relatives o
 f fanzines) are independently published (usually photocopied) DIY maga
 zines about anything\n\n2. To discuss the future of Artemis Zine with 
 the new Artemis Editor. Artemis is the Women’s Network zine and curr
 ently an open forum for self expression with the general theme of “w
 omen’s issues”.\n\n3. A zine reading from and discussion with Alex
  Wrekk about her involvement with zines. Alex Wrekk is an awesome zine
 ster from Portland, Oregon (USA!) who’s been writing her own persona
 l zine, Brainscan, since 1997. She’s also just totally rewritten and
  expanded her incredible zinester book/resource, Stolen Sharpie Revolu
 tion: A DIY guide to Zines and Zine Culture, which is basically the bi
 ble for everything zine!\n\nNo previous knowledge about zines required
