Event Description

10th Portland Zine Symposium
August 28-29, 2010!

The Portland Zine Symposium includes workshops, panels, discussions, and raffles. As well as tables upon tables of creative folks trading, buying and selling zines. Admission is free.

The Portland Zine Symposium aims to create greater communication and community between diverse creators of independent media and art. This fun and free event helps people promote their work and to share skills and information related to zines and zine culture. Through workshops, panels and discussions, Portland Zine Symposium explores the role and effect of all types of zines.

There will be also be social activities in the evenings during the PZS, more on those as they develop.

We are aiming to open up registration for 2010 PZS in April.

I love the theme and especially how when you move your mouse across the face of the website the tracer fire follows along. I wish I were able to go to PZS this year but I'm only liquid enough to make it every second year, I think. I'm looking forward to going next year. I just have to make sure I send my donations to PZS and IPRC through!

The arcade theme is very fitting, with venues in Portland such as Wunderland and Ground Kontrol. A lot of restaraunts and bars in Portland have pinball and old-school games, too. Check 'em out!
